Partner Migration

Your partner is an Australian or a permanent resident in Australia. You and your partner have decided that your future plans lie in Australia and both of you would like to settle in Australia. Your partner will be able to sponsor you to stay in Australia under the Partner Migration Program.

1) Partner Visa

You and your partner are legally married, or in a de facto relationship for at least 12 months, you are eligible for a Spouse Visa.

2) Prospective Marriage Visa

If you are living outside Australia and are intending to marry to an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen in Australia, you may apply for a Prospective Marriage Visa. This visa allows your fiancée/fiancé to sponsor you for temporary residence in Australia for up to 9 months during which the marriage should take place.

Interdependency Visa

If you have been in a same-gender relationship for at least 12 months, you may be eligible for an interdependency visa. You need to provide comprehensive evidence of the relationship and to prove the genuine relationship.
