Employer Sponsored Migration

An Australian or overseas employer who want to employ suitable overseas candidates to work in Australia, may apply for a visa under Employer Sponsored Program. Employers may nominate and sponsor skilled workers to work in Australia on a temporary or permanent basis.

There are three different options of visa under the Employer Sponsored Migration.

1) Employer Nomination

Australian employers may recruit full-time highly skilled workers to fill the positions in Australia when employers are unable to fill a vacancy from the Australian labour market.

2) Regional Sponsored Migration

This category allows Australian employers in regional or low population growth areas of Australia to fill skilled positions that they are unable to fill from Australian labour market.

3) Invest Australia Supported Skills Program or Labour Agreements

This program is designed to encourage international firms that will make a significant investment to choose Australia as a location for foreign direct investment.
